WHAT IS PAINT PROTECTION FILM (PPF)
Paint Protection Film (PPF) was initially developed and conceived by the US military to protect their aircraft from damage to vulnerable components. As with so many modern day applications, what started as military technology eventually introduced itself into the commercial market and over the years has been developed into the various products that we use today to protect our automobiles.
By comparison the glossy self healing films we use from Xpel are the most developed within the industry, having installation methods made to be almost entirely invisible. Not only does the film provide protection from chips, abrasions and environmental factors but the design, fit and appearance of such films actually serves to enhance the appearance of your car while protecting it.
BENEFITS OF PAINT PROTECTION FILM (PPF)
Protection
Xpel protects your paintwork from chips, minor scuffs, scrapes and environmental factors while protecting the finish against defects from poor washing techniques.
Enhancement
Xpel has superior clarity and is very easy to maintain. When maintained correctly the result is a very deep shine.
Self Healing
Xpel PPF has a self healing layer. Stone chips, scuffs, scratches and swirls that do not penetrate this layer disappear with the application of heat from hot tap water, the car’s engine or even just the sun.
Replacement
If a panel needs replacing, you won’t be off the road for long. Most panels can be replaced within a couple of hours – unlike traditional paint repairs, which often take long periods of time.
Cost
Because Xpel PPF is specifically designed to fit each panel, it may be replaced individually resulting in little to no need to strip the panels as well as no extra paint to blend the colour to adjacent panels.
CARE & MAINTENANCE

As the installation of the film is a wet process, we strongly advise not to wash the car for the first 7 days. The moisture in between the film and paint is still evaporating during this time and using shampoos may jeopardise the adhesive qualities around the edges of each panel.

If you have a splatter from insects or a bird stain, you should still remove this as soon as possible as you would do with bare paint, while the PPF adds protection the top layer has a similar make up to your cars own lacquer and will also be marked from the acids etching into it.

Surface scratches and swirl marks in the film will heal over time. If you would like to accelerate the process, all you need to do is to pour warm water (not boiling) over the concerned area. Doing so will help the upper layer of the film to regenerate itself back to its original state.
WARRANTY FOR PAINT PROTECTION FILM (PPF)
Xpel provides a 10 year warranty on all of its Paint Protection Film, in addition to a 5 year warranty on all film installed by Georgiou-Botaris Automobile Couture's team of certified installers.
We warrant your film against yellowing, crackling or lifting and will replace any area of film that is on inspection deemed to not meet these criteria during the course of its warranty (from date of purchase).
Of course the warranty does not cover damage to the PPF caused by accidents, collisions, intentional misuse, ordinary wear or damage caused by products or cleaners not recommended for use on PPF.
